Mark Grimes Has Been Cast!

The role of Mark Grimes has officially been cast.

Despite rumors that Mark Pellegrino, Jonny Lee Miller, or Jamie Bamber would nab the role, it looks like British actor Andrew Lincoln will be our brain bashing hero.

I remember Lincoln from "Love Actually," as the character is in love with his best friend's wife. This sappy scene will probably ring a bell. I think it's safe to say our days of seeing him look this this are over:

Robert Kirkman, the comic who wrote "The Walking Dead," had this to say (via The Hollywood Reporter)

"Andrew Lincoln, wow -- what an amazing find this guy is," said Robert Kirkman, who wrote the comic book series upon which the series is based. "Writing Rick Grimes month after month in the comic series, I had no idea he was an actual living breathing human being, and yet here he is. I couldn't be more thrilled with how this show is coming together."
